The company “S.M.R. Consultants” signed a contract with the General Secretariat of Public Affairs\u00a0of Investments and NSRP of the Ministry of Development and Investments for the implementation\u00a0research of the financial needs of the very small, small, medium\u00a0and mid-cap companies. The purpose of the research was its formation\u00a0of a national financing strategy towards these enterprises for the period up to 2027.\u00a0It is worth noting that the implementation of the new NSRF Programs started with\u00a0intensive rates at the beginning of 2022 and therefore it was necessary to carry out the\u00a0ex ante evaluation, prior to the notification of the financing measure\u00a0business risk.<\/p>\n
The main objective of this study was to analyze the demand for funding of\u00a0businesses, with an emphasis on the areas where there is an inability to cover the
\nexisting funding channels.<\/p>\n
The research was carried out through the creation of a structured questionnaire which\u00a0distributed to small and medium-sized enterprises throughout Greece via online
\ninvitations.<\/p>\n
Some of the main conclusions are as follows:
\n\uf0b7 The main factor affecting the growth of small and medium enterprises\u00a0businesses in Greece is excessive taxation
\n\uf0b7 During the period of the COVID-19 pandemic there was an increase of approx\u00a050% of the needs for technological development, while one in five SMEs\u00a0sought funding in order to survive
\n\uf0b7 72% of responding enterprises stated that they intend to search\u00a0funding within the next five years with the main objectives being the expansion
\nin new markets,\u00a0 the strengthening\u00a0 of their potential and their presence in\u00a0existing markets.<\/p>\n
This particular study is of signficant importance considering the difficulties that SMEs\u00a0faced in our country (which are also approximately 99% of Greek enterprises) both during the economic period\u00a0crisis as well as during the last 2.5 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
